What a sweet little monkey! I love listening to this child. He's only 4 and speaks as if he were 8 (with intelligence to boot!). A true character, as is his mommy. She'll give ya a big ole Texan, "HOWDY!" with Texas sized smile to match. This is a super fun family that lets their boy be a boy and I love that so much about them. Her very favorite image is the one where he is snarling his nose up and trying not to laugh, OH! and the one where he's jumping. I love how they love to watch him explore and discover and get to be a little boy.

It only lasts for a little while, ya know?

These people live in their back yard. Well, not really..but they do play there every day. This is where they spend most of their family time, so what better place to shoot than that! Garden, greenhouse, dogs, tents, flowers, running, tickling, laughing and playing. Loads of fun, loads of love and loads of cutie patootieness.

What a co-inky-dink. The first time I ventured out on the Greenbelt, it was with this family. Tonight as I am posting this, my kids and I just returned from there. It's the first time I've been back since our shoot and it's the first time my kids have ever been. Just as I suspected...they loved it as much as I did.

Honestly, when this couple mentioned this as they location they wanted to use for the shoot, I had no clue we would be trekking 2 miles in the s c o r c h i n g heat, BUT we did and it actually rocked. It rocked because a) they showed me a super cool new place to take my kids and b) it's special to me because it's special to them. It's what this family does. They hang out there (usually in different clothing I presume) but they go there in the summer frequently, so it's significant. That's cool.

Now when the kids are grown and they are looking back at this session, hopefully it will recall all of those memories that they're making there right now with every trip. Makes me all gushy inside.

That's correct. This family contacted us when her twins were born and we've tried and tried to work out travel for a session. This year, they bit the bullet and drove to Cleveland while I was there.

Neither of us had ever seen or even been to this location before. We met that day and learned there was a wedding going on, so we were confined to one area of the park. Throw in some massive humidity, extreme heat and twin toddler travelers and you've got yourself an interesting session. They totally took one for the team and I'm so glad it was worth it for them!

Can't wait to meet all your friends in Nashville! See you soon!
