Same family, different days...shoot a little, hang out a little. We (Taylor and I) had a great time going down to photograph this mini series of sessions.

The beautiful little champagne dress that you see here is from Opal Petit Clothier
What an INCREDIBLE designer she is! I saw these dresses from one of my bookmarked magazine sites and instantly fell in love with them.....and then I received them! Wow. Impeccable quality and not to mention, pretty fun to wear (or so it seemed). Nonetheless, they make beautiful images!

So, the dress.....and our other fun, fun family pictures to include, silliness, meltdowns, and good wholesome lovin'. Enjoy!

Hi Tina, Just want to say that I find your work inspiring. I am also in love with the Mia Tulle skirt. I found your site through Tamara Lackey's facebook post. I second, and share your thoughts on her chocolate slip n slide. She is amazing! Commenting here bc this beachy post is my favorite!, Sally

As I began searching for inspiration for this beach session, I remembered a few old family photos that I noticed in their beach house last time I visited. They were reminiscent of old Venice Beach style images where the family was just documented playing on the beach. Things weren't "prettied up" in photoshop or in camera, they were just a very real depiction of what a day at the beach was like. I loved the black and white nostalgia of the whole look and thought we would try it out. Are they super duper creative? no. Are they wildly intoxicating? hardly. Are they seriously a truthful representation of what a day at the beach is like for this family? yep. exactly. I really, really love the way it turned out. The feel of the images is just what I was looking for. I C A N N O T WAIT to see this book designed around the concept of this shoot (or this portion of the shoot, anyway).

What a distinctive look these boys have! I'm lovin' it! Dark, dark skin and the most beautiful blue eyes with those to-die-for cheekbones! UGH! Lovely boys. Just lovely.

I love this fast paced little family!  We got to run run run around the park.  The little boy was just that...a boy, and just enjoyed being outside, playing.  (so fun!) The little girl was a funny bear.  She was giggly but also serene, such a great personality.  She loved making faces and dancing in the open field.  She made me want to put on a pretty white dress and spin in the sunshine!
