This is a girl after my heart. She loves vintage things, sweet things, beautiful things, anthropologie and Jesus. This shoot was about that. It's her senior pictures and my interpretation of where she is in her journey through this fleeting time in life.
I could go on for at least 7 or 8 more paragraphs, but I wouldn't know what words to type that could overshadow what I see in her through these images.... so I'll stop here.

I love being out in the country. As I drive out and start to get rid of billboards, red lights, storefronts and neighborhoods, my shoulders just tend to relax a little. I see more clearly, I feel free, I'm open to just sort of.....be.
This was one of "those" places. We went to their property that makes them feel the same way and did a super fun, super real Senior session. I'm so glad he didn't shoot me or run over me. Good stuff. I'd go back, for sure!

I've been lucky enough to photograph this couple (the grandparents) for years. Every time I'm around them, I can feel their love for each other. That sounds completely ridiculous, yes I know. But it's true. They've been married for years and years and years and they still act like they're dating. It's cute. It makes me smile. It makes me want that in my own marriage.
So then, I meet the rest of their family and guess what? Yep. They are just like like their parents. Fun, free and full of joy and laughter. For a photographer, it doesn't get much better than that. Loved being with this family and having an opportunity to document all of them together...in one place....at one time....(congrats for pulling those schedules off!).

She loves a piano.
She loves different.
She loves God.
She loves all things eclectic.
She loves European things.
We tried to pull all those together and give her a Senior shoot that she can look back on
in 20 years when she's married, moved on and majored in life and say...."Yes. That was me. That was *exactly* who I was at that time in my life."
I love that our Seniors trust us to document this time in their journeys!
