What an honor. What a gift. What a treasure...to be trusted to photograph this angel as she grows up. I met Addison when she was just a few days old and have loved so much watching her blossom into a sweet little lady. 7 years old. Wow. It happens so fast.

Loved this birthday party. Slumber party cake? Do you see this? Each of the girls on the cake were made to look like each of the attendants. How incredibly creative! That's talent.

Pinterest is changing the face of kids birthday parties. Addy comes up with her theme and the activities and her momma makes everything come to life with the help of Pinterest and some crazy talented cake making help. Can't wait for 8 baby girl!

If this is the first time you have ever visited our blog, do a quick search at the top right corner of the screen for "bracken"....................

Okay, now. You'll notice there are not one but TWO new additions to the family. Creed joined the family in January last year, then we welcomed baby Everson just a few short months ago in April. If you missed it and you're the cyber nosy type, have a peek at Creed's first year of life by clicking here. Not to worry...Everson's will be ready soon enough. She's 3 months old as I'm posting this.

The decision to adopt is bold, scary, brave, exciting, nerve-racking, an emotional roller coaster, momentous, fulfilling, hard, stressful and filled with all sorts of happiness. I've witnessed this family going through both adoptions and it has brought me to the conclusion that adopting is so crazy similar to deciding to have a baby. The emotions, anticipation and planning are all relatively the same...well, not the same but they weigh out the same. Does that make sense? The thing about adoption is...it gives a little life hope. A chance. An opportunity to be surrounded with a family who wants to love them on purpose and bring them up in a home where they can have opportunities.

What a beautiful milestone, to welcome a new little being into a family. I'm grateful to have been given a gift to share with others to document times such as this.

If you are in the processing of adopting, would you drop us a line to let us know? We would love to pray for your process and your new baby, as well as hear your story and document your first family portrait for you as a gift for giving life to a little one. We're excited to hear from you!

This family is so genuine, precious and lovely. Have you ever met someone who listens so well that you feel like you just want to pour your heart out to them? Yeah, me either. Especially not me and the mom of this family. ;)

I love being around people who are so comfortable with themselves they make you feel comfortable. That's how I would describe them. Yep. Good peeps.

Sounds like the name of a fun little cartoon show. I'll tell ya this, I laughed at these kids more than I would a cartoon. They were so silly, so funny yet so sweet and kind to one another. If I know the mom, she is rolling her eyes at that statement right now, but honestly...it's rare to see three kids at these ages get along so well. They are super kids....just a true testament to fantastic parents!

Beautiful, lasting relationships and watching family's grow make my heart and my cup overflow.
've had the privilege of photographing these beautiful creatures since 2005 or 2006...wow...I'm getting old! :) hahahaa

Grace is into horses these days and does quite well in her competitions, I hear. The horse's name is "just a classy lass"(....hence this post title). Wouldn't that be fun if we could name our kds crazy phrases like that? "Just a little monkey punkin" is what I would call at least one of mine. Ahhhh, culture. It'll never happen.
