This little buddy is certainly growin' like a little weed! Here he is in his mommy's belly...then when he arrived : click to see the baby
here comes the moment of truth...
I hate studio sessions because they're not as fun as being outside.
However....I love studio sessions because of the details and intimacy they are able to portray.
I love the fact that just looking through this session helps me to know how much this little punkin is loved by his rockin' parents. The coolest thing about that? When he grows up, hopefully he will see that, too!

get ma-a-a-rried. ;)
How fun! I forgot what it was like to shoot engagement sessions. I think I may be missing out. We had a blast! Anyone else getting married out there?
The reason I love engagement sessions so much is because it pauses the moment in your journey when love is still a bit uninhibited. You don't have to really "work" at this young love...it just happens naturally. So, to have these images just allows you to look back after you've been married for several years (when you're having to "really work" at making it work) and remember all the reasons you fell in love in the first place. It's a sweet time. And totally, totally portrait worthy.
Lighter note...do you completely dig this old house with side out of it? I L O V E it! The mountains, the views, the tall grass...ahhhhhh...and of course the playful, young love. :) All the right ingredients.

Remember them ------------> before ?
Here's their sweet little baby girl! Is she precious? Love that lil' bundle UP!! Ooowee!
What is the most precious thing about bringing a brand new baby home? Watching her parents flip out over her. All of the newness. Completely, totally invaluable.

As a photographer, sometimes (hmm...most times) it's very hard to please myself with my own work.
It's moments like this, when the first grand baby comes along.....
he's brand new
a fresh little person
unharmed
innocent
totally dependent
TOTALLY dependent on love.
Being allowed to see those things through my camera and freeze those fleeting little moments are completely, completely fulfilling for me. It's nothing special that "I" did creatively, it has everything to do with being at the right place, at the right time, with the right people. This was one of those days.
Thrilled.

Totally in love, totally prepared, totally a beautiful time in this couple's journey and I feel so honored to get to share this time with them visually. What a gift to give to their sweet baby girl (who's been born by the way....she's ummm.. perfect. Will show you soon.). I love that she will get to see what her beautiful mommy looked like while she was in her belly and just as special in my eyes? She will get to see how much her daddy COMPLETELY ADORES her mommy. I could talk for days and days and days about the intensity of sweetness this couple oozes, but I truly don't want to gross you out. ;) They're awesome. Baby pics coming soon!
