Hilarious couple. Laid back, funny, great decision makers and a heck of a sweet family!
Do you LOVE the huge framed piece of George on the mantle? It's maybe my favorite...well, I dunno, I really, really, really love the screaming christening gown shot or no! wait! I think my favorite is the one where she's holding the baby with the expression like, "holy crap, what in the world do we do NOW?" Oh no....man. I L O V E the shot where the dad has this look of utter bliss as he looks at his brand new baby girl. Oh heck, I love em' all!
Expressive shoot. Love it! Hope you do. :)

Jokingly, I mentioned to the mom there is NO WAY I could ever show these images because you ( blog readers ) might just think I had something to do with how well this baby posed for me.
I am not kidding....for the past few years I have loooooonged for a newborn session where I could shape and mold a sweet little punkin and they would just "stick" to that position. Well, here she is. Several, several..............................several newborns later.
She's a keeper. What a good baby. She slept and slept and let us do anything we wanted. If all babies were this good, I'd have 2 more tomorrow. Eh, prolly not really...but I'd sure have to think about it. ;)
I was blessed to photograph this couple's engagement session and just absolutely love their entire family. What an honor to be asked to photograph their first baby! She's so good, I can't wait for them to have more!

When someone looks at an image and says, "it's not a portrait, it's a moment...it's about emotion..." I just want to jump up and down and scream YES! YES! That's IT! THAT'S what it's about! Well, for me it is anyway. I'm just happy that there are people that get it, appreciate it and want it as bad as I do and even better...will treasure it forever and ever and ever. [[[ gush ]]]
Speaking of a moment...it's a senior moment. It's a family moment. It's a couple that's been married for many years having a moment together. It's a great little moment in their journey in life. So blessed that they trusted me to bottle it up for them through this session.

Post title FAIL. That was pretty lame I suppose.....glad the images aren't though!
From High School Senior portraits--------> Wedding Day----------> First Baby....this is truly what it's all about for us! I love that we've been so fortunate to document these fleeting moments for this couple. Is her belly too cute! She's going to be a great mommy. I'm so excited for her. Seems like just yesterday she was graduating high school! Time literally flies.
It's a girl! If you're nosy like me and can't wait to find out!!! Oohhh....baby girls. ((( swoon )))
They told me this will be their "first of many" babies and I'm so excited for them! Walking into the world of parenthood for the first time is such a monumental place in life for all of us, isn't it?
I have the honor of getting to photograph the birth day and newborn session as well, so you'll get to know her a bit. ;) Watch in the next few weeks. She's almost here!

This is the first Life, Actually piece we've done with a child under 1. ( The prime age group for this is 1-5yrs. )
How incredibly precious that for her first professional pictures to look back on when she's 20something, she will be able to see how her first words sounded and how much she was loved by her granddad and her "bb". I can't tell you how special it is for us to be able to give such an invaluable memory through the combination of digital images and video. It's powerful...or it WILL be powerful, I should say. Hope you enjoy the show!
