And by character, I mean these kids are filled with character! They make me laugh.
I absolutely love this little spot in Chattanooga and since our last two sessions have been at their home and surrounding areas...very outdoorsy, we decided that this little place might be cool. It was. So, so cool. Love the images. Love watching this family grow. Love their beauty.
Little Debbie Cakes
The comfort of Grandma and Grandpa's house
and playing in water.....
That's the good stuff right there. Well, I suppose you could add the awesomeness of soaking wet diapers, but it's just the same to not.
I met Claire a few years ago in Cleveland, TN when her boys were the age her her little girl is now. For inquiring minds that love to see how children change as they grow, click this link to see the twins a few years back.
Claire is a hoot. She's a woman on a mission. I love that she knows what she's looking for and knows how to make it happen. She's a great mommy and super fun to be around. So glad they are letting me grow with their fam!!
I was on my way to their home and my gps was having some issues. As I went toward my workaround plan (google), I plugged in their name and address and Southern Living popped up! Their home was featured in Southern Living! How cool is that? So of course, I shared with them my discovery and awe and then she shared with me how not so exciting or awe-inspiring the whole ordeal was. Left me thinking...yeah, well...I suppose things usually aren't what they seem, are they? I had conjured up quite the romantic photo shoot with an art director, lighting rigs, and lots of creative talk. Apparently, that's not really how it shakes down. I consider myself, informed of reality. (Still pretty cool though.)
What a sweet little family and a gorgeous back yard. I want to go back there and sit on the patio and have a glass of tea. So quiet. So peaceful. So serene. No wonder they look so happy...how could one not be happy with all that serenity? :)
Incredibly bright, talented, super intelligent and highly sophisticated...but that wasn't the best part about getting to know this family...if you could see what happens when they all come together...wow. It's like relational fireworks. Not in a "super huggy, I love you, bro" kinda way, but more like a "I really dig that we're in the same family together" way. Hard to explain...it was definitely much more of a feeling I felt, which is always challenging for me to put words on. I'll sum it up with this, I barely talked the entire session. All the personality coming out in these images was simply a result of them being together. Beautiful.
