I've been wanting to photograph this family at this location for about 3 years now. Getting to see that vision played out was awesome! You might have seen the Life, Actually we did that day? If not, check it out!

Incredibly amazing people, outstanding imagination and just watching them do daily life is enough joy and laughter for me to absolutely fill my cup!!

I sometimes wish I were able to articulate more eloquently, but fortunately or unfortunately, that's just not who I am, so! Intrigued and unusually satisfied describes how I feel when I am watching children be amazed and overly excited by the simplicities life offers...you know, like roly poly's n' stuff. :)

Great time, great shoot, and hopefully some beautiful memories for this awesome crew.

What a baby doll! She has so many different expressions and such a neat little personality! Could you squeeze her to bits? I love the very first image with her crooked biting down smile and the last one makes me think of a little show-stopping-hollywood-child-star.

This family keeps me in stitches. A witty crew they are and just as sweet as they are funny.

I so love this first picture. The girl sitting at the piano is the oldest daughter of the family. She's a senior this year and besides being very talented at playing piano, she is also the artist of the picture that is hanging right in front of her. I love it for so many different reasons...

I also love very much that her younger sister is soooo good with these little deercows. Yes, there's a more official name for them, but to me, they are cows that happen to freakishly resemble deer. She stuck her whole hand in one of their mouths! I freaked out...she giggled. Funny stuff. Guess you had to be there.

Anyhoo! The girls love to read together, so my very fave pic of the whole session is the shot of them reading their books together. I really loved them all. This family is just amazingly sweet, so precious. I'm blessed to have crossed paths with them.

What a beautiful backyard session with this sweet family! I've so loved getting to know them through our time together. Such genuinely real and precious people.

I truly love hearing people talk about their families. This mom and dad both came to our planning session and even though their kids are teens, they still light up when they talk about them. I find that extremely refreshing and a very desirable quality. I want to light up with joy when I talk about our kids when they are teenagers. A beautiful example of a "wholesome family"....and they're cute, too!
