I have wanted to do this session for at least 3 years. I've even attempted it other times and it hasn't quite panned out the way I originally saw it in my mind.......until now. As soon as she opened the barn doors and showed me what she had pulled together, I thought I wouldn't be able to hold my camera still from being so excited! It takes a special person to pull off a session as fabulous as this...someone with determination, resources and willingness to say yes to the challenge and headache of pulling it all off....I'm convinced I have the best clients on the planet.

I can't lie, when someone trusts us enough to do their first family pictures, it makes me feel really special. So blessed to get to meet, work with and document such incredible people like these.

This is my sweet friends, the Harveys. We go to church together and every time I see these girls, they're smiley and giggly.....until I pick up a camera. So funny, it just all fell apart. The youngest hated every moment of being photographed this year. Good thing I'm always up for a nice challenge! In spite of the tears and semi permanent damage this photo shoot may have caused her, I'm still super happy with the images. :) ((and I still love that little punkin head to bits...rascal))

Of all the crazy, outlandish things that we get to do here at TWP, a session at home on an ordinary day is by far my very, very, very favorite thing to do. The significance is rich and the truth in the surroundings and relationships are unequivocal. I love peeking into the real lives of people and getting to know them through photography.

So far behind on blogging! Check out this sweet little fella! He's grown quite a bit since his last session, hasn't he? One might say, "he's growin' like a weed". ((((wink wink)))
