This session was photographed late summer, somehow slipped through the cracks from getting posted! Anyhoo...better late than never, right?
My husband is a golfer. The only thing he loves more than hunting is golfing. For him to be able to take our children to the golf course and give them a bucket of balls to hit while he's working on his swing is one of the coolest elements of summer for him. So when this family mentioned the golf course, automatically I knew where that idea came from! This dad is so big on golf and wants to share his passion with his girls. This was their first outing on the course and I'm so happy I was there to see it!
Steele Creek Park and Golf Course is such a beautiful place. I've photographed there for years, but it's moments like this that make familiar places brand new all over again. The moments of a dad watching his big girl swing a club for the first time and praising her as she so looks to him for approval almost brings tears to my eyes. So sweet. Precious memories and a precious family.
I get excited as soon as I see their name on our schedule....another family I've grown with for years and years. They're like my own family. I'm blessed to know them and get to document the growth of their children.

....or will try not to quit! (that's funny when you get half way down this post). What a fun little family they are! Absolutely beautiful inside and out. Their prints just came in a few days ago and I literally squealed with delight! Is it bad if I just keep the ones I have and print them more? Must. Have. Something. Of. This. Family. For. My. Studio!!!!! Those dimples and blonde hair KILL me.
Thanks for letting me peek into your sweet family. Sooooo looking forward to watching that precious angel GROW!

...it makes the moments captured there even more special. This cabin has been in the family for several years and the history of the property is absolutely amazing. I heard stories about how the Indians used to cross the river behind the house and how there were women stolen from there back in the war days. Really cool stuff!
No sweeter family around. Love watching them love on each other.

Better make that sweet peaS! I love a family that encourages their children to love one another and empower their creative talents. This little fella LOVES his baby sister and let me tell you about some creativity! wowsa. He's a little rock star. The love in this family radiates and just being around them gives me the warm fuzzies. I could photograph families just like this one all. day. long. Love it.
