The story : So, last year we an INCREDIBLE session where we pulled their gorgeous crib out to her grandfather's farm....
So this year, we're talking, "how do we out-do what we did last year?" I said, well...I have an idea that I think suits you guys perfectly, but not sure if you would be willing to do the legwork to pull it off. Pitched it, she loved it, our voices were several octaves higher getting off the phone than they were when we got on. She took pics of the pieces to chose from and emailed them to me. Squared everything up, then I arrived.
We're at the farm, I jump in the truck with her husband and head off to find the perfect place to stage the set. Score. Found it. We go back to pick up hot mama and the babe and as we're driving, her husband half jokingly says, "we may need to say a little prayer as we start going in" ((nervous laugh)) .... 5 minutes later....
Stuck. Not only stuck, but the grass was up to our waists, the ground was not, ummm....solid. It was like years and years and years of cow poo. You wouldn't sink instantly, but if you stood in the same place for more than, ohhh 10 seconds or so, you would start to lose your shoes. Let's not think about what was crawling around in those big weeds.
It wasn't a total loss, though, we took a few pics, but NO chance of getting the chaise out here...it would sink completely (the entire legs would anyway). So we called in the reinforcements to get us out. First we tried this...
Right. Fat chance. Bigger reinforcements were needed....
Hoorayy!!!! Out safe. Don't know about you ladies, but my husband would have been O V E R it at this point. He was a total trooper. He pushed through that night, we shot as much as we could, ended up losing light and we all left defeated.
Next day, she calls and says they want to try it again. Yayyyy!!!! I was pumped. Couldn't believe she had talked her husband into it, but sure enough, he was ready and willing so off we went. This time, better equipped in many, many ways....we played it somewhat safe and this is how our fun little story ends.... A combination of images from both days....
